*The official Snickers tagline reads: “You’re not you when you’re hungry.”*

Perfect.

I haunted a lot of these, mostly because I was in a circle that could do bad flips. It took me a while to notice I’d met more of my dates playing pinball. And I don’t play pinball.

The ex I met there (a nightclub, not pinball) was nice, but we didn’t have much in common beyond Jagermeister. She, like all proper adults, outgrew Jagermeister.

Once I finished my undergrad, I soon realized bars/clubs were the worst places to meet women. You have so much working against you: Loud music, sketchy dark vibes, friends looking to sabotage you, creepy guys who put women on guard. I love striking up conversations at yoga, cooking classes, etc. where there's already a mutual interest.

Wow, I was there in your story. I felt sick, well done, I haven't been to a club in about 20 years either. It reminded me of that song , I'm a big duche at the Scottsdale bars...

I never liked clubs where you can't talk... Now all the people who like talking are in da substack club!
