The way I see it, the pandemic took all of the ordered cards out of the deck, and it threw them up in the air. Now, it's up to us to sort of put them back together.
Most people are (more or less understandably) trying to put things back the way they were before, but this has presented an opportunity for many as well as an incredibly traumatic time for most.
The paradox of the internet is always going to be interesting to me.
I align self-love with stillness and space. This intentional aloneness enables me to explore a grounded sense of restoration and self-worth. Picking up the phone in the morning is like waking up and chain-smoking opinions, looking for validation everywhere but where it matters - with the person you spend the most time with (yourself). So much to digest there but I appreciated it.
Maybe one day a dark lord will condense the internet down into a ring, and a simple hairy-footed boy will travel the land to toss this burden into a river of magma.
What’s the point of this? Are you saying this is a bad thing?
If the alternative is someone who writes like Hemingway, then no thank you. I’ll take That Guy’s adjectives and all of his other parts of speech all day long.
I just don't think the pandemic was ENOUGH. It was too chill.
If there was full "" going down, we would have gone the opposite way, I think, and peoel would have been brought closer.
What is the exact % of population death that brings togetherness? And booms things. 33.33
I love your writing. It makes we see viewpoints that I wouldn't normally see as your viewpoint and life is so much different than mine.
I moved into the bush when the pandemic hit. I had been prepping for years.
And I was just lame. The whole thing was lame. Zero Zombies. I diddnt shoot one live round or eat one MRE.
Your awesome.
Keep writing awesome stuff.

Very well put and I totally agree. What's the paradox of the internet to you?
If that's not a softball pitch, I've never seen one before. Edem and I worked on this a little while back: https://goatfury.substack.com/p/america-nigeria-and-the-paradox-of
It might be fun to do something about the internet with a guy from there, just one day.
Lol I could be down! Granted, I did a six-part series on the internet and culture war late last year.
Shoot me a quick email; let's talk offline.

You’re a fantastic writer. Holy shit.
Unsolicited and probably unwanted writing comment: you sure have a lot of adjectives

Good for you
