Yup! I fly from Toronto to Orlando on Wednesday. Thursday, I fly from Orlando to La Paz. Gonna spend a day at Lake Titicaca and then explore some ruins in the area. Then, we take a multi-day tour of the northern Chilean salt flats and desert. Fly from San Pedro to Puerto Natales and hike Torres del Paine for a few days. Then spend a week in Santiago and Valparasio hitting up some wineries and chilling at the beach.
That's amazing! I have family (my partner's biological fam) in Cochabamba. I hear that's THE place to visit for food, but if you can't make it there (probably necessitates a puddle-jumper), definitely try to eat the following in La Paz: saltenas, silpancho, milanesa, trancepecho, and pique a lo macho!
It might not hurt to pick up an empanada with cheese or humintas.
Holy crap, I want Bolivian food now, but you are gonna be at the source.
I'm really looking forward to hearing about those countries. And seeing photos and videos. Hope to visit in the near future. Have a fabulous time.
Safe travels and may all your wine choices be lucky.
Thanks! I've been procuring winery recommendations from whoever I know has been to Chile.
Are you really gonna visit SA? If so, where in Bolivia?
