"If you ask a stupid person about their day, they will plunge into a batshit diatribe about how they stormed into a parent-teacher conference with an assault rifle despite not having a child, and they will complain about how there’s a federal case against them all because of wokeism. The stupid have armed themselves with certain words and phrases that simulate intelligence but are in no way the product of independent thought."

America is not alone in having stupid people. You can find them all over the world. It is often the result of political isolationism cross-bred with social and religious conservatism, in rural areas devoid of progressive politics and intelligent conversation.

I've definitely seen my fair share of stupid in Canada. Even with this recent election, when I talk to conservatives, they'll articulate their issues with Trudeau in a way that is hard to disagree with, but when I ask them what PP would do about it, their argument falls apart.

They obviously haven’t been able to articulate issues with Carney yet.

This was even after he was party leader. They just made him an extension of the Trudeau agenda and projected all of Trudeau's failures onto him. I'm not even a big liberal party guy, but I would ask them something like, "If housing has become this huge bubble, how will PP's plan to eliminate the GST fix this? Is pumping more money into a bubble going to solve housing affordability?" For a party that is supposed to be more grounded in economic reality than libtards, they strangely could not answer that question...

When Stephen Harper (an economist by training) was PM, they probably could have, because he would have dictated it to them.

I think you forgot to cite Felix Biederman here for the key theory on the stupids. Ripped pretty directly as far as I can tell.
