You'd definitely need to establish some criteria. It would be maybe possible to define a top-100 songs that showcase the best songwriting (with a criteria for how you understand good songwriting).
It isn't practical to make a top-100 list that would try to reflect all possible ways in which a song can be good (songwriting, performance, recording, etc. . . )
I thought this was a great series and you both chose loads of brilliant albums, but then i listened to aja for the first time based on your comments and it was one of the worst things i’ve ever heard, so now nothing makes any sense to me!!!
This is a great follow-up to good series. I really appreciated the section in which each of you talked about the albums that you changed your mind about because the other person had included them on your list.
This was so fun to read. In the early weeks I was on vacation so I actually had time to keep up and listen to the albums. Then life came and now I’m left with a Spotify library packed to the brims with musical gems I must unpack.
Now you guys gotta do Top 100 songs and truly go insane.
I legitimately don't even know how I would go about that. It would be a spreadsheet with 5,000 songs and I just pick at random.
This is how we should determine the U.S. president.
Ranked choice voting to the max

Damn, really? I know Steely Dan has their fair share of haters, and I can understand why. Depends how you feel about yacht/dad rock.
A monumental effort. You were both thoughtful, and offered such well crafted writing about music.

It's all about getting a different perspective!
