“Before this, every day around noon, I used to practice self-care by taking a break from whatever I was doing, going outside, and screaming at the sky.”
Not super stoked you put my self-care routine on the internet, but thanks for that!!
This is why my first, and so far only, yoga class was called Basic Yoga. There is so much to remember 😊. I understand the “burnout cycle”, especially since I am textbook ADHD. Although, I’m not spoiled, entitled, lazy or a failure...just old(er). I learned to be able to quiet my mind with the help of a great counselor who is in recovery like me. You’ll find your peace, just keep writing great posts like this one.
You know you can sit on the couch, close your eyes, and imagine doing yoga with pretty much the same beneficial outcomes. Albeit, I'm not sure that you're benefiting. At. All

We may be adding a yoga program at our gym pretty soon. I'll definitely keep you posted on that.
Please send me a scouting report
I always find it amazing that, whenever the instructor says "breathe," I realize I haven't been breathing whatsoever.
Sometimes my breathing is so out of sync with my body that I don’t know I even move properly

I do love yoga but after a hectic day at work the meditation part is actual torture
This Chi?
You are Joes Sense of Palpable embarrassment...
yoga instructors should be classified as war criminals
