The mainstream media has us chasing waterfalls, so to speak. Can we please stick to the facts and the norms that we’re used to? MSM is like PCP for the corporate individual.

Nihilism isn't productive, but it is rational. Especially with so much uncertainty surrounding President Dunce Cap's second term.

History tells us the fever won't break without a real shock to the system. It seems like we get one of those every few years, so I fear there's worse to come. That said, I also just try to take things day by day, and attempt to consume good information to stay grounded in reality. In the short-term, all I'm really concerned about is my wife's forthcoming tax cut.

For sure. Complete ignorance is not the answer but developing the critical thinking skills to vet good information and having the impulse control to develop a more healthy relationship with social media has been massive for my mental/emotional health.

A good rule of thumb is consuming enough news to motivate me to do some good wherever I can. Anything beyond that is just diminishing returns.
