That said, I also just try to take things day by day, and attempt to consume good information to stay grounded in reality. In the short-term, all I'm really concerned about is my wife's forthcoming tax cut.
For sure. Complete ignorance is not the answer but developing the critical thinking skills to vet good information and having the impulse control to develop a more healthy relationship with social media has been massive for my mental/emotional health.
A good rule of thumb is consuming enough news to motivate me to do some good wherever I can. Anything beyond that is just diminishing returns.
