Some absolute gems in this cohort. The Massive Attack, Kendrick, and Pink Floyd selections easily crack my top 100.

Massive Attack gets its praise but it really needs to be acknowledged as more of a universal top 100 album.

John Coltrane. So happy that he made the list. Although, I am seeing a lack of certain genres in the list so far...😳 That might be because only us outcasts listen to it anyway.

I am so curious as to whether or not any of my top albums will be chosen.

I feel like we need a place to get on an album for the win or to show.😂

Some (I hope?) surprises coming up for sure.

I'll admit, my list is fairly bereft of metal or prog rock because I don't really listen to those genres. It's not that I don't respect their contributions to music, I would just be totally out of depth when talking about them. If my list was completely "objective" as opposed to a mix of my personal preference and what is broadly considered to be classic albums, my rankings would be different.

Although I do tend to lean towards the punk and metal, I like to think I'm somewhat diverse.

Whatever you guys select is perfect, and if it pushes my musical boundaries, I'm all for that.

The fact that OK Computer and Wish You Were Here have already been dropped makes me super curious to see what's coming. I've been religiously picking a few albums out of each week's list and listening in full. Keep it up this is so fun.

Yellow House, Ella and Louis and Delaware all left my ears in a state of extreme pleasure. Also checked out Duran Duran, Fela Kuti, The White Stripes, Death grips and a bunch more.

If you like Yellow House, definitely check out Veckatimest. Just the pinnacle of indie rock/baroque pop of that time. Also happy you're getting into Fela Kuti and Death Grips. I know Death Grips can be abrasive at first, and I'm normally not a fan of that kind of music, but they're just so out there and energetic that I can't help myself.

Will def give that a listen. Yeah Death Grips stretched my auditory perceptions to their very end but it truly is a unique piece of music. Their shows are probably bat shit crazy.

I saw them last year and the entire place was just the mosh pit section. Apparently their shows were even more insane a decade ago.

Guess I should’ve read the whole thread first. Lol. Happy to see you’ve found some new records to enjoy!

It should be illegal to sell 100mg lollipops. Even 10 would have that same effect on me. I ran my first half marathon back in the 80s with a massive hangover and quite possibly stoned, but thankfully not injured so it was more pleasant comparatively.

Haven’t looked at the album choices but I can confidently say that they are all brilliant bangers knowing you two!

I don’t get the rationale. Am I only doing a few licks of a lollipop and then rewrapping it for later?

People don't take a couple licks of a lollipop and put it away. In fact, it has become, if not illegal, then standard, to have I think no more than 10mg of THC in a piece of cannabis candy. Sure you could grab a handful of gummy bears and get 100mg, but I think it's still a good standard to follow. I have seen plenty of people (and dogs) with THC toxicity and it's not a pretty picture.

Yeah this was a very unpleasant high. I’m not sure where he got the lollipop. It could’ve been black market. This was also a couple years ago, so maybe the regulations weren’t in place yet.
