FWIW, I still the original version of Tim, but the remaster is sublime. Some people think that's heresy, but IMO, it finally (!) let's the band shine.

I very much support Ed Stasium remixing all their albums. He just gets their sound.

Absolutely brilliant!

We covered Hounds of Love on our podcast last month and the description as 80s Abbey Road is so perfect. I love that album.

Blue is one of my favourites of all time alongside Enter the 36 Chambers.

We did cover Born to Run on the previous month's podcast and I'm afraid the quote 'People who describe the album as “overblown” are missing the point' is exactly me! I understand that it might be a great album but it wouldn't make my personal top 500 🙃

It's a classic--and I totally get why it means so much to so many-=but when it came down to it, Tunnel of Love was too good for me to ignore.

The more I listen to the Boss, I think "Nebraska" might be my personal fave, but "Born to Run" is such an essential and definitive album.

So interesting to see what makes these high ranked slots. I will buy Nina Sings The Blues on vinyl, I have heard a couple on compilations but the flow comment sealed it. Must check out the actual Daft Punk album as only know the singles mentioned.

I'd pay good money to hear "Discovery" for the first time again. And "Sings the Blues" on vinyl is mint. I got mine on Vinyl Me Please.

I have many friends who loved The Beasties Boys then and still love them but they never did much for me. That's gotta be my shortcoming, my blind spot.

I love them in small doses. I wouldn't mainline several albums of theirs in a short period of time, but popping in and out is always a great experience.

I just remembered an episode of the original Queer Eye for the Straight Guy where one of the new fashion items for the straight guy is a cool jean jacket with Beastie Boys album cover art on the back. That dude was so happy about the jacket that he got teary-eyed.

Soooo many excellent albums here!!

I will need to listen to both Vespertine and Homogenic - Debut and Post were always in heavy rotation for me, so I have no clue why I haven’t heard the following two Björk albums! They are on my task list for today!!

So, I saw REM on their Document tour. I had already been a fan - a friend introduced me to Murmur and Reckoning. I’m a huge fan of most of their catalog. But, I will say, Automatic for the People and Nirvana’s Nevermind had permanent placement in my 5 disc CD changer for probably more than a year. Both such solid albums! I never got into New Adventures in Hi-Fi - Ebow the Letter is great, but it’s not a solid through and through album for me.
